Ian J. Sarembock ABOUT Ian J. Sarembock, MB, ChB, MD, FCP(SA), FACC, FAHA, FSCAI, is a structural and interventional cardiologist with an extensive international background. Born in South Africa, he earned his medical degree and doctorate from the University of Cape Town. After completing a two-year research associate position at Yale University, he moved to the University of Virginia (UVA), where he served as Director of the Coronary Care Unit, Harrison Distinguished Teaching Professor of Internal Medicine, and Director of the Center for Interventional Cardiology.
