Upshot Ventures investment thesis

Founder & Partner Ming Yeh Ming founded Upshot Ventures in 2015, and established CSC Upshot in partnership with AngelList and the CSC Group, to help founders and operator angels seed their companies. Ming has built her career around her passion for connecting capital to technology innovation between the US and Asia. She raised CSC Upshot with capital sources from China, represented by the CSC Group and Baidu, to invest in innovative technology companies in the US. Prior to Upshot, she spent six years in Shanghai as a venture capitalist at SVB Capital (part of SVB Financial Group), headed up its Asia practice. In that capacity, Ming built up SVB’s presence in China and opened its Hong Kong office. During her time in China, she helped Chinese entrepreneurs build globally scalable companies.
